Before the Ceremony | Caleb & Mickey
Caleb's smile waned for just a second, before turning back to the one a stark few ever saw. Mickey was as gorgeous as ever, and being this close to him stirred Caleb in ways he barely remembered. But they had an understanding, and as far as Caleb knew, Mickey was happy. The siren couldn't wish for anything more for his friend.
"I thought, for once, you might have started early. I'm sure some will entail books," Caleb replied, absorbing the hit with a little back step that only had him rock closer. "I am. I think I may have started a new religion - monk mechanic. But the heat's nice, no need to worry about large bodies of water there. Though, some days it's like working in a furnace. Just mainly changing oil and inflating tires for those on their way to somewhere else." His voice was melodic, and Caleb did like his work. It could be lonely though, but there were feral cats who needed fed.
"But it's nice to be here, as surprising as the invitation was. A good excuse to visit."
