Before the Ceremony | Caleb & Open
It really shouldn't have been as comforting as it was for Caleb to return to that sleepy little town. He shouldn't have felt as comfortable as he did walking the grounds of his old school. There had been attacks, kidnappings, fights, and struggles every year he had been there. And yet, Caleb found himself dressed up and going to a wedding of an angel and a demon. A demon who had seen Caleb at his most vulnerable, his powerful, and his most vicious, and had invited him anyway.
Taking the opportunity, Caleb made sure to have one of his nice cameras with him. His pictures might not end up in The Oracle, but it would give him something to do. A way to document a piece of his life that appeared to not change so much since he'd left it. His roadside bodyshop made just enough business to keep him from dipping into his inheritance, but the the only thing the garage on-campus and the one he managed had in common was the smell of oil. Caleb worked in an oven, while being up there in the end of August almost made him wish for a thicker dress coat.
As people were milling about, Caleb was staying out of the way, taking pictures of the decorations and guests, all caught unaware or the instant before. Candid shots would make a nice little gift for the married couple once Caleb had the images developed.
