Thread: Oh. It's you. WHO: Cressida Hallowfen and Blake Hartley WHEN: July 25, afternoon WHERE: St. Margaret's Campus
Cressida was supposed to be in Greece, but she decided to return early. She felt uneasy knowing that Blake Hartley was on campus and she had a kumiho and a freshly arrived kelpie there. Both of whom were in her house. Both of whom were extremely dangerous. He claimed to hang up his sword and Ms. Menides made a point that he was there to keep himself and the dragon in his care safe, but she just couldn't shake all the debates (or more appropriately called lectures) she'd given Blake when he arrived before. Someone who dedicated their life to hunting couldn't just hang up a sword, and he had to know that he wasn't a welcome face. Jack apparently made his feelings abundantly clear, and she saw that Heather had offered just as icy of a welcome.
But even if she had returned for the sake of her student, the first person she wanted to see was Micah. Two weeks away had felt something like an eternity. She never thought of herself getting so attached to someone again. The disappointment of Nicholas had left her with a bitter taste in her mouth. She'd focused on herself after that and she accomplished a lot. Even now, she didn't need someone to complete her, but she wanted Micah there. And now she was back and going to do exactly what she told him she would do once she got back.
She tugged her rolling suitcase alongside her as she made her way across campus toward the teacher residences for those that didn't want to stay in the castle itself. Her hair pulled into a loose French roll and her attire more casual than usual. Khaki capris, heels, and a sleeveless white blouse. Her jacket from the chilly airplane draped over the top of the suitcase. She carried a large bag that was more of a tote and purse. It was a nice day and the sun shone down, so she wore her sunglasses. Her steps were determined and hurried. Cressida wanted to drop her things off and then see if she could surprise Micah. Chances were he'd picked up her scent already and gone looking for her.
Cressida was so focused on getting to her bungalow, she hardly noticed anyone else around her. And that was her first mistake.
