WHO: Helena & Van WHEN: Monday, July 11. WHERE: Archery Class
Helena was still getting used to St. Margaret's, but it was slowly growing on her. She'd turned up her nose at the place and withdrawn after her arrival had been met with accusations of kidnapping, but things had settled more in recent weeks. She spent the majority of her time either with her brother or in the summer classes she had signed up for. While she didn't have an over-abundance of affection for her father, he had certainly instilled a sense of hard work in his daughter, and she wouldn't wile away her summer afternoons lazing around. She was almost always doing something, and at the moment that was archery. Granted archery wasn't a very useful skill for her future, but it was keeping her active, at least.
Helena's fingers grasped the bow securely and pulled it taut. Her wings shifted somewhat uncomfortable behind her back. She was not so comfortable as her brother to let them hang out just yet, and so they were secured beneath her light colored shirt. She moved them slightly to adjust for her drawn arm and exhaled deeply. Her eyes narrowed on the target and she released the weapon. Her arrow shot forward and pierced the target toward the outer ring. Helena furrowed her brow unhappily. "What am I doing wrong?" She directed her question to the student next to her. He was dark haired and attractive and normally might have sparked some interest in her, but at the moment her focus was solely on improving her aim.
