Cressida was going to leave the next day for the airport. She'd catch a flight from New York to London, and from there catch another flight to Yorkshire. There she'd spend two weeks with her parents and likely endure a thousand questions about Micah and the school, and how she was handling things. Not to mention the fact she'd been possessed by Hecate the previous year. After that time, she'd fly to Greece with her parents and see more of her extended family and others of her religion. It was a pretty big thing with them, considering Hecate hadn't touched this plane in hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Right now, she opened her eyes and stretched in the bed a little, not needing to open her eyes to know that Micah still rested next to her. He was already rather busy this summer with going to find teens who would eventually become students, once they got out of their precarious situations. Now she would be leaving for a month. The two had used the night before to leave lasting memories to hold them over and make both eager for their eventual reunion. Cressida turned and glanced at the clock, seeing it was the morning but not too late into it. She had the rest of the day to finish her packing. Turning her head, she saw Micah lying on his side with his eyes closed. It was debatable as to whether or not he was asleep. She leaned over to press a kiss on his lips before slipping out of the bed and reaching for the robe she wrapped around her naked form. Grabbing a clip, she twirled her dark hair up to keep it out of her way as she went to the kitchen to start cooking their breakfast. The scent of bacon and eggs filled the air, and if Micah wasn't awake already, the tasty aroma was sure to rouse him. |
