Thread: Homecoming
WHO: Davian & Ambriel with Therese, John, Cressida, and Micah as you please!
WHEN: After THIS
WHERE: Academy Grounds
Davian was in the parking lot standing with Mrs. Gurule, watching the road with an anxious expression. He had his hands wrung tightly together at his chest, feeling unable to catch his breath - a feeling he'd had since Ambriel had gone missing. Davian had felt useless all this time. Everyone around him was able to do helpful things like sniff out Ambriel's scent or cast magic nets looking for him. His brother had gone to Vegas and wrangled the Nine for fuck's sake! But Davian, all he could do was sit and wait. Wait and sleep. Even when Ambriel's location had been discovered, Davian still couldn't help. Someone else went to rescue Davian's fiance, someone else went to heal him, someone else went to bring him home. What did Davian do? He hung wallpaper and cleaned like a domestic hurricane.
Over the weeks that Ambriel went missing, Davian had shed a lot of weight, having no appetite and no interest in food whatsoever. Orange juice was the only thing that gave him any vitamins and it was the only thing that consoled him outside of his army of friends who were desperate to find ways to help. Jae had even endured his tantrum in the hardware store when the shopkeeper said they were out of the dove print wallpaper. Who the fuck runs out of dove print?! Even Lord Byron stuck by his side, the pet familiar to Mr. Hallowfen taking long naps with the Sloth demon. It was a trying time for everyone involved, and Davian realized who his true friends were.
Finally the moment had arrived and Davian received word that they were on their way back to the Academy with the angel in tow. He was unhurt, the message said, but Davian didn't believe it entirely. They were probably just trying to spare his feelings and keep him from losing his cool again. The minutes ticked by and at last, Davian caught sight of Mr. Kaden's truck pulling up. Davian bolted from the fairy teacher's side, his tail a blur, and Mr. Kaden couldn't even park the truck before there was a demon banging on the doors.
"Ambriel! Ambriel!" He shouted, going from window to window, trying to catch a peek and lay eyes on his winged lover again.
