At his utterance in another language Alec tilted her head and regarded Leon with distinct curiosity the same way a bird did when watching the world beneath its talons. Her smile deepened and her fingertips brushed over the dark colour on both his cheeks before her grip returned to his necklaces. "For all my time on this earth that language you just spoke is new to me." She paused and let that smile become a grin. "I like it."
She chuckled softly and shrugged her shoulders. "I'm sure Mr. Cavanaugh hasn't held it against you." And then he said what she did and her eyes seemed to shift a little, flickering from human to bird, before she just allowed her touch to slide along a beaded necklace in particular. "A weakness for beautiful things," she murmured softly as she lifted her chin and nudged his jaw with her nose, the press of her teeth evident.
