Thread: Damage Control II WHO: Bayani & Kaden WHEN: Weds., May 11, after Physical Education class WHERE: Sports Field
Kaden kept his word to Mr. Farrowe that he would check in with Bayani. At the earliest opportunity, he decided to pull the vampire aside and ask if everything was alright. PE class was out on the field that afternoon and they were just finishing up with short distance sprints. PE class at St. Margaret's wasn't like a regular school. When the students could move without being seen or lift more than ten times their own body weight, it made team sports a little challenging to coordinate fairly with the human students. It was important for newly turned vampires, weres, or creatures in general to learn their limits and learn how to control their own strength, speed, and coordinate their agility to not go crashing into walls or into people. It was a class where they got to let their supernatural side shine, no need to hide it, and it was one that Kaden was well equipped to teach.
"Bayani, come here for a second and give me a hand," he called out to the vampire as the rest of the students began filtering back towards the school to hit the showers. Kaden was stacking hurdles together, making his way around the outer rim of the large sports field. This time last year, the field had been a grove of trees that Andrei was clearing to work off his detention. Now it was a sports field for them to use separate from the physical powers training field, which tended to get singed or iced or all kinds of unimaginable destructive powers let loose. Fortunately, the grass always grew back, even if it needed to be magically coaxed after being life-drained by a black dragon.
"So, you seem kinda off today," he said to Bayani when the boy was nearby and everyone else was out of earshot. "Everything alright?" It was better to softball the students at first, Kaden had learned. They tended to bristle up defensively when confronted or accused of doing something wrong. Bayani was a good student and a good Ladon. Kaden was more worried about him than prepared to scold the vamp for upsetting someone. Bayani had to have his reasons.
