Davian & Kane
"I think our definitions of fair piece would probably be different. But that's why we lean toward our particular sins." For Kane, he couldn't imagine being otherwise. It wasn't that monogamy seemed wrong to him, in fact he fully supported it for people who wanted it. He was a firm believer in everyone having the type of sex they wanted. But lust demons were not the type. It was not in his nature. The very thought of it for himself just made him grimace.
Kane stared at Davian. Again he got a genuine reaction out of the other demon, surprise knocking that normal smug look right off his face. He was bewildered instead. First Paxton said he liked Kane, and now Davian was offering friendship, and the paranoia in him made him wonder what their angle was. If it was to keep him loyal by being nicer to him ... well, it wasn't a terrible plan. Kane didn't have an investment in the Las Vegas commune. He also had no power or pull with those people. But if this was sincerity ... Kane was bewildered by sincerity.
Realizing for once he didn't have a clever retort, Kane smiled, and it lacked the hint of a smirk that always touched his smiles. It was simple and understated and real. "I could do friends." He chuckled. "I've never been friends with another demon, outside of my sister."
