James, Leon, Andrei, Bayani and open because this may get the ugliest
Despair seized Andrei as the memory he had buried a long time ago resurfaced, together with the guilt, the pain and the perverted pleasure that had come with proving himself to his clan. It clawed at his mind, dredging up all those past times when Andrei had found himself lacking and he'd ended up alone, being abandoned or being left alone because everyone he thought of as kin had been murdered. Alone. He would always end up alone.
But Andrei wasn't like Leon. Leon was introspective and reflective, with a tendency to withdraw when the world struck at him. Andrei was the opposite. He acted out when he felt pain. If Andrei hurt, everyone around him better be prepared to share in that hurt. Andrei never retreated. He attacked.
And if James looked him in the eye to attack him, it meant Andrei also had eye contact with him.
All that pain, all that agitation and all that worry for Leon? Instead of internalizing it, Andrei opened himself up to it, feeling it more deeply, and then, he caught hold of that connection between him and James. He pushed back, flooding it with all that overwhelming, aching hurt he felt and sending it to his tormentor.
