James, Leon, Andrei, Bayani and open because this may get the ugliest
Leon hated the sound of James's voice just then. It was like James didn't know exactly what he'd just done to him. To any outside observer, it would've looked like Leon had just fallen to his knees in some kind of fit and James was there out of concern. The dark feelings of loss and failure, of uselessness and abandonment were still swimming around in Leon's mind. Leon had given his father and his people all he had and they left him shattered and alone.
But Leon wasn't alone.
Feeling the arrival of his sire spared Leon the humiliation of lifting his head and revealing the tears that stained his cheeks or the tremble in his hands to James. The Weatherby was taken down. It gave Leon a moment to try and collect himself. He was so distraught he didn't hear Bayani arrive, but when the touch landed on his shoulder, Leon wrenched away. The look he gave Bayani before he recognized him was a mixture of cornered animal and murderous. Raw emotion was still in his eyes. Out of necessity, Leon shoved it down as best he could and got to his feet with a nod at Bayani.
"Andrei, don't hurt him. He'd like that too much."
