Thérèse and Hugh
Thérèse had followed through with going to the dance, but she was not in quite as good a mood as she usually was during these dances. In fact, she had spent most of her night in her miniature form sitting upon Big Ben as though she were in Peter Pan. She managed to find the best spot to avoid the bubbles at the chiming of the hours and simply rested there with her eyes watching all of the happy children below her. She would be lying if she were to say that seeing so many couples was not causing her to think of Dallas and this time last year. She had done a great deal of crying already, so she was managing to keep herself calm enough to not call attention to herself.
She wasn't dressed in a normal dress for the night. Actually she had enchanted a rose in her fairy form and turned it into a dress for the night. The dress would grow with her if she needed to discipline someone, but mainly she was using it because she was simply too depressed to look for something to wear. She rested her head against a spot on the clock as the colorful bubbles spewed from the clock. She sighed as she watched them pop releasing their confetti cover the floor. Maybe she shouldn't have come.
