"Kane, Bayani did not even seen me as an option, he..." Sorin looked down at the wine that the demon had uncorked, deciding to take him up on the offer. Sorin had discovered that he became rather amorous when it came to drinking alcohol, but this was like Kane said, a safe judgement free place. It was especially safe when those soft but strong wings were encircling them both, blocking out the light from Sorin's desk and blanketing them in their own little room of velvet darkness. It helped calm his tears and ease the tightness in his chest some.
Sorin scooted closer to Kane and took the bottle, bringing it to his lips. He sipped a small swallow, then a bigger one, closing his eyes as the smooth wine slid down his throat. Kane was right, Sorin thought. He couldn't control who he liked or fell for. It was what he'd learned when he'd started falling for Andrei. The vampire that everyone warned him not to get close to because he was dangerous, he had bitten students, he started fights and was known to end them with violence. But to Sorin, Andrei was just the right amount of dangerous to draw him in and keep him under his spell, wanting more.
And Andrei too would leave him soon. Sorin lowered the bottle and sighed, resting his head on Kane's shoulder. "I cannot possibly be angry with him. Or with her. He told me from the moment I coaxed his crush confession out of him that she meant something to him. I knew I would not be that to him." A small part of Sorin might have considered the possibility that Bayani would put off his feelings for Victoria for longer, but that hope was all diminished over a network conversation that was supposed to be planning another threesome with Andrei.
"I was just a friend he had sex with. Nothing more. Nothing less. I was not even in the running." Sorin stole another swallow of the wine before handing it to Kane, leaning in to place a kiss on his neck.
