Teddy grinned. "Thanks," he said with a nod, "And no, not particularly. I just- up in time for breakfast before we go out?" He rubbed the back of his neck before he took the left hearing aid out, putting it on the bedside table. He rubbed at his ear as if he'd suddenly had relief from something that had been pressing into it for a long time. He likened it once to the sensation of having in-ear headphones stuck into your ears for hours and hours and then when they were taken out, it was that same kind of relief that Teddy felt every time.
His fingers snagged on his phone, programming in an alarm anyway, plugging it into the wall and tapping out a quick text to his mom and dad to say goodnight before he slipped the phone under his pillow. The vibrate would wake him up.
"I hope tomorrow's as exciting as today was," he said, words a little clumsy and thick, looking as if he were getting ready to settle down for sleep.
