"Oh", Craig said, his enthusiasm dying down for a moment as he wondered to himself if third boy would still be considered lucky if he was forth born overall. When Teddy mentioned the two miscarriages and being seventh, Craig smiled again. "Sevnenth? That is lucky", he said with some authority. "Yeah, my parents told me about my siblings. Why wouldn't they?" Craig's family had been pretty open with him. There had been secrets, but not about that.
"It wasn't that bad being an only. I grew up with a lot of family and cousins around, so I wasn't really alone all that much." He smiled a little as Teddy leaned forward, mistaking his not hearing for interest. "My family did stuff like that a lot, actually." Craig was wearing a couple of homemade bracelets around one wrist, which he held up to show Teddy. "We would make and charm them, then sell them at fairs, and even online. It's not that hard to do. We could totally do something like that."
