No dance for a doe
Who: Corinna and Open Where: Outside near the ballroom When: Thursday about two hours before sunset Warning: TBD
Corinna may not have spent all her time outside anymore, but she did spend most of it out. It was no longer because of her emotional problems with Daniel though. Mainly now it was just for the enjoyment of being outside. Her brief time as a full human had at least helped with the Daniel problem. Sure it wasn't fun to be unable to take her true form, but it was kind of fun to do what all the other students did for a time. She got to attend parties, walk on the beach, and even kissed a boy. Granted the kiss was an accident, but still, John was nice and she wished she could go to the dance with someone like him... or rather just him. She wasn't sure she felt as strongly this time as she did the last time when she had feelings for a boy, but it was nice that he seemed to care for her so much. Unfortunately she would not be able to attend the dance with him though.
Her pale yellow sun dress draped lazily over her figure as she stretched her body out on the grass. Her head stared longingly into the ballroom windows as she wondered how it would feel to attend a dance with the humans. It was cruel to be stuck in this position of having a foot in the human world while still having the thoughts of her wild world. Her mind was stronger than that of a normal deer's, and it was that part that made it difficult to handle this. It would have been better for her to just return to her true form and live with it rather than continue being stuck like this. She now wanted both, and sometimes she wanted both so much that it was painful.
Her eyes turned towards the sky which had begun to change to an orange glow rather than the bright blue from earlier. Would Artemis hear her prayer if she wished for it now? She pulled a small figure carved from stone out of an inner pocket of her dress. The figure was one that she tended to keep with her at all times in honor of the goddess. It showed a maiden kneeling with a drawn arrow with Artemis' name carved in ancient Greek lettering at the base. She held the statue tight as she prayed to have one of two things happen. She didn't want to burden her goddess for much, so she simply asked for whichever would be easiest. Find a way to return her to her true form or find a way to give her the option of changing at will between human and hind.
When her eyes opened, she turned over onto her stomach and set the idol in front of her. She was never certain if Artemis heard her. She wasn't even certain that Artemis cared for her now that she was cursed, but she at least needed to have something to hope for.
