Leon stared at Jack for a long moment, wanting to protest again and insist he was going to stay. He could feel the conflict within himself, pulling him between wanting to do as Jack asked him to do - Mr. Cavanaugh asked so nicely, too - and wanting to prove he was capable of handling it.
It was the mention of his sire, Mr. Dantură, that had Leon finally relent. Love was a powerful potent force, but the bond he had with Andrei was arguably stronger. Or at the very least, different in a way that helped him get control of his emotions and focus through them. He needed to find Andrei. He needed to call Mickey. He needed to get his head on straight.
He wanted to stay in the room with Jack.
Looking down, finally breaking eye contact with the banshee, Leon nodded. "You... you're right. I'll go." He paused and frowned at the floor, lifting his head to fix Jack with one last determined look. "I'll go and I'll fix this." He had to stop himself from saying 'for you'.
It took another moment to will his feet to move. Leon backed away, and then turned, steeling himself to walk out the door and leave what felt like the love of his life behind.
