Jack was highly aware of the presence of Leon besides him. While vampires lacked some of the traits humans did - body heat, breathing - they still filled space. They were still beings of flesh and bone, of muscle and sinew, and they moved in the world. Leon seemed to turn Jack's topsy-turvy just by being in it.
Jack rose to his feet and bend over to examine the folder. Right. A letter of recommendation. "Why would I mind? Terribly?" Jack smiled at Leon. He would start with Leon being a smart, witty boy with a tenaciousness that would benefit any program, while also accentuating the vampire's unique heritage.
"What school-" Jack paused. His hand had somehow ended up on Leon's hip. "I - uh - What Ivy took you in?"
