The touch of his hand made Leon look up and he met Jack's gaze again. The smile smoothed over the residual tension Leon had that this wasn't normal. Of course it was normal. It was the most normal thing in the world to love Jack Cavanaugh. Leon smiled back, hesitant at first, and then with amusement at what the banshee said. Jack was quick on his feet and funny, Leon had always known this.
"No, neither. I've already been accepted to the college of my choice and I've long ago accepted I'll one day be turned to ash - morbid of you, Mr. Cavanaugh." He scolded gently.
Leon moved closer around to the side of the desk Mr. Cavanaugh was sitting on and opened the folder for him to show him the information about the science program. Leon leaned a hip against the desk so that he could see Jack's face as he pointed out the letter requirements. "Would you mind, terribly?"
What had he been about to say? Wasn't there something off about this? It had slipped Leon's mind as the spell sank in.
