The Hunt: Davian & Victoria & OPEN
"Would you rather I rally my house together?" Victoria asked, "Or would you rather I have my other friends help me. Like Leon." She knew Leon scared Davian. She'd seen the demon slink away when Leon gave him just a look. That's all it took. Victoria shook her head, "You weren't punished for what happened, so I don't see how Sr. Kaden knowing has done anything. Truthfully, you've been making an active effort more against me than I ever have against you." She had ignored his comments whenever she could and even stopped correcting his glaring errors over the school's journal systems.
She sighed, "You want to hold onto this? That's fine. But I'm here to apologize for the way I made you feel. I know you have a soul—" even though she still had some doubts considering Ambriel told her she had one too "—and I already acknowledged that. Maybe now that there's no one else around, you'll hear it this time. You're also a good dancer and as much as I don't like dancing with you, you're the best one to dance with." She bit back anything else she wanted to say because it all involved backhanded insults. That's not why she was here.
Victoria knew what was coming next. Davian getting all smug and snotty at her. But she said it. She fucking did it. She swallowed her anger and hoped that someone would arrive soon to release them from the spell. She would prefer to keep this conversation short.
