During Brunch: Davian & Ambriel
By the time the Kitsune House had finished with the song and found their seats again, Davian was ready for a nap. Not that he wasn't always ready for a nap. He sashayed his hips a few more times as he made his way back to the angel, grinning at him and only taking his seat when the Headmistress stood up. Davian slipped into the bench beside Ambriel, his black tail curling casually around the winged boy's waist. He wore one of his favorite headbands, a flashy and ostentatious glittery blue with stars bouncing on tiny springs at the top. Davian enjoyed the ridiculous if only because it threw people off, made them laugh, or better yet, get annoyed. With the kind of defenders Davian had these days - a warrior angel, an impenetrable kumiho, a shaman, a fairy teacher, a fire witch, the envy demon Class President, just to name a few - his problems with bullies had all but vanished. No one wanted to risk getting beaten up by a fiery red head or their hand broken by a otherwise harmless looking Korean.
Davian was, in that moment, at the happiest he'd ever been. Tomorrow could be worried about tomorrow.
Today, Davian caught Haylie's look and nodded. Kitsune was going to win this, but first the sloth demon wanted to take a quick nap. He stretched out on the bench at the long dining table, head resting on Ambriel's lap, and easily fell asleep amidst all the noise around them.
