Adrian had heard of fairy rings, of course, but he'd never actually seen one. His only exposure to fiary habitats or constructs was his forest of origin, and he'd only been there twice, and not for long either time. As he caught sigh of the mushrooms, Adrian felt drawn to it. He could feel he influence of the ring. Adoring moved through the group of students to the front of the crowd, right in front of Mr. Cavanaugh. When the teacher mentioned that the rings were created by witches, elves, or fairies, Adrian confirmed "Fairies" with an authority that would only be understood by those who knew what he was. He could tell, he didn't know how, but he could tell this one had been made by fairies.
He heard the teacher say that fae were immune to the ring and he listened to the rest of what he said while looking upon the ring. There was silence for a few moments as Mr. Cavanaugh stopped speaking. Adrian heard a cricket chirping somewhere. He gazed over the ring, the pale, not-quite full moon in the sky shining it's refracted light down and dimly illuminating them.
"Mr. Cavanaugh", Adrian spoke up quietly. "You said fae are immune to their effects." He looked at him with a question in his eyes. "Could I... have a closer look?"
