Hunting non-date
Who: Fred and Caitlin
Where: Woods
When: Wednesday Night (Backdated)
Warnings: Language, maybe more stuff later

Fred hadn't really done much hunting with anyone else. She kind of didn't like the idea of someone seeing her feed, but she supposed with Cait it would be fine. It wasn't like she really had anything to hide with her anyways. Caitlin knew most everything about her from the way Fred geeked out over muscle cars and bikes to the fact that her family had been raising her to follow in the traditions of hunters.

Fred got to the meeting spot a little early dressed in cargo pants and a ragged black AC/DC shirt. She was stretching out her limbs and mentally prepping for anything that could come up. Sure there were always things that could happen that couldn't be predicted, but she liked to do her best to prepare herself for whatever might come. Hell. In the back of her mind she even had preparations for if Caitlin turned out not to have actually left their sire and this was just a trap. Alright. That wasn't exactly in the back of her mind, but she was at least trying to give her friend the benefit of the doubt since she seemed to have returned back to being just her friend.

Then to be honest, there was also the thoughts in the other direction that this was all a ruse to get Fred alone so that they could have another type of fun. She wasn't sure if that was something she wanted or not. The thought of it was definitely pleasant, but she was really trying not to get too attached to anyone.

Caitlin hadn't hunted since she arrived at the school and she was itching to. And Fred was the person she wanted to go with. Besides, if it turned into something else - all the better.

Dressed in lace-up black boots, black skinny jeans, and a deep red t-shirt, the older vampire briskly walked from the school and into the woods. Caitlin was already stretched from dancing in her dorm. It was her number one escape. And it was necessary today after receiving a letter in the mail from their sire. It was a request for information.

Her walk turned into a run as she made short work of reaching Fred. Caitlin slowed and smiled as she reached up to tighten her ponytail. "Hey."

Fred glanced over when she heard the footsteps approaching. "Sup," she replied as she rolled backwards onto her hands and popped off the ground to land gracefully on her feet. Fred couldn't help but think about how hot Caitlin looked, but just like she used to do, she acted like she didn't even notice.

"So what you wanna hunt tonight?" She felt herself feeling a little self conscious about her own appearance as she kept talking. That was stupid, right? Whatever. She just forced those thoughts away.

Walking up alongside Fred, Caitlin smiled. It seemed like any old time. But it was certainly not. Perhaps this could be a new chapter, a good one.

"Up to you. I'd like a something medium-sized, a chase," she replied, wishing this was purely just an excuse to make out or the like.

"Works for me," Fred grinned. She was still a little confused about the reason why Caitlin suddenly asked for this little outing. Sure they were getting better about acting like old times, but Fred was still not ready to take things further than casual hook ups lately. Hopefully this wasn't meant to be some kind of date.

"Think you can keep up with me," Fred winked playfully as she sprang off the ground to land on a tree limb and look back at her friend, "Or do I need to go slow for ya?"

"Good," she nodded. It wasn't a date. It was just a hunt. At least that all Caitlin had planned and hoped for. She trusted Fred and why not go hunting with someone you trusted?

Letting out a laugh, the older vampire smirked as she watched Fred jump and listened to her joke. "Maybe I should go slow for you," Caitlin replied and then leaped up and stopped on a lower branch.

Then she leaped down and broke into a run, already trying to catch the scent of a potential prey.

"Don't wanna embarrass you princess," Fred teased as she took off into the woods. Her footsteps were swift yet soundless with the combination of her vampire abilities and her training as a hunter. She shot her friend a smirk, but didn't completely leave her behind.

She listened intently as she moved, seeking the sound of heartbeats. Some were obviously human, but she honed in on one that was most likely an animal. That would be where she went. She had only had human blood once, and she had planned to keep it that way.

Rolling her eyes, Caitlin kept running, returning the smirk. She could run so fast. Her vampire abilities and her dance experience had her silent, agile, and graceful.

The older vampire had human blood many times. But she was ravenous for it thankfully. She heard the animal heartbeat. It was a deer, she was sure of it. Soon she leaped into a tree and stopped, seeing the creature moving and sniffing for danger.
