WHO: Cressida Hallowfen & John Tohquah
WHEN: Feb. 19, afternoon [backdated]
WHERE: Cressida's Office, Hydra Dorm
The situation with Cori was a mess. While John had somehow found a way to do something quite the opposite of fixing things, he had done something and managed to break through the magic somehow. Now came the fun part where Cressida had to have John walk her through what he did and they could figure out where this went wrong. At some point she hoped that John would figure out why he wanted to walk away from this one and he'd want to fix it. It seemed strange for a witch to be ready to step back suddenly, especially since John told her he never walked away before. In her office Cressida sat behind her desk, looking over her family's grimoire that she took with her. The flowers that Micah gave her for Valentine's Day sat in a vase near the window. She could still see it but it wasn't quite so obvious. The grimoire showed its age but the binding was sturdy. The earliest pages were vellum and the latter ones bound in were parchment and then general paper, though cut thick. Cressida focused on some spells in it that dealt with shape-changing but Lord Byron took her thoughts away as he huffed some air. He was too tired to give her a full bark, but she understood that as warning enough of someone coming. "Come in," she said rather loudly so it could be heard through the door. It would be just enough time for John to have raised his hand to knock or at least reach for the doorknob. She shut the old tome and then stood up, carrying it in her arms and returning it to its place in a very old chest with velvet lining. Cressida looked at the door, knowing John would be walking through and waited. |
