Bayani blinked when she mentioned Bae. "No, I've never heard that. Why would bae mean that?" He wondered if it was an English translation thing. Unless it was from baby, which he knew some people used with their loved ones. He'd just have to be careful of that, if someone tried to use it with him, and not meaning his name. Her question did come off as casual, he had no reason to look into it deeper than casual conversation. "No, I don't have one. I don't think I'd call them bae if I did, it'd get confusing." A tick of a smile after that, to show he was joking. His humor was often wry and understated.
"I've never played volleyball or tennis." He didn't have access to either of them. Football was easy, both American and European, since it required a ball and a few people to kick or throw it around. Bayani knew Victoria was a dancer, but she seemed only to like ballroom, as far as he knew. "I thought playing sports would be boring and easy as a supernatural, but it's more challenging when everyone else is one too." That was a relief. He'd probably go out of his mind if there was no release for that high energy. Except he wondered how the humans liked playing when there were vampires and weres zipping around.
"I didn't realize being clever was important to speed." Bayani was surprised by the push, but it didn't bother him, since he recognized it as playful. He smiled at her; she reminded him a little of Ellie, with all her energy and teasing. "I can chase down a deer, I think I can chase down a fox," he taunted back with a chuckle. He liked competition so he sped up too. He didn't push her back because even when he was careful, he could release too much of his strength.
