Narrative: Valentine's Chocolates!
WHO: Jae Song & Open to Reactions
WHEN: Feb. 14, late morning
WHERE: Kitsune Dorms, Hydra Dorms, Pegasus Dorms, Ladon Dorms
It was Valentine's Day and Jae followed the Korean tradition of making chocolates. They weren't the best chocolates in the world, but simply melted some chocolates in different colors that she put into different shapes and even decorated a few of them. The project was simple enough she didn't have to bug Sara into helping her, and she spent a portion of the previous Saturday preparing them for her friends and the people she wanted to show some gratitude to. Or maybe just an extended apology. She let the chocolates freeze overnight and then put them into little plastic bags decorated with hearts after she finished preparing them. They were tied with ribbon and then she walked to each of their dorms and left them outside. The chocolates came with a little card and a small note accompanying them. In Korea, Valentine's Day was a day where girls gave boys chocolates. It was normally a love confession, but Jae didn't feel that way about any of the people she made chocolates for. Sure, aesthetically they were somewhat pleasing to the eye, but for the most part they were just her friends. They had lovers or other interests, and she didn't seek to change any of that. Even at over three-hundred years old, she didn't actively seek romance the way other girls did. Maybe she was too comfortable. Maybe this was why she was friends with Davian? She was a little . . . lazy. For Davian, the chocolates were in the shape of little angels. Mixtures of white chocolate wings with milk chocolate for everything else. The card that accompanied it simply said, Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Jae. She knew he'd end up eating them all by himself or he might share them with Ambriel. She expected the two of them would share most of the day together and she hoped that they would enjoy every moment. She went to Pegasus dorms next. There she left the bag of chocolates for Sorin. They were primarily leaves and flowers with milk and dark chocolate for the most part, but the leave portions were white chocolate colored green. The little card that accompanied it said, Happy Valentine's Day! I am sorry again. Thank you for being willing. ~ Jae. After that she went to Ladon dorms with chocolates for Rider. They were in the shapes of little cupids with bows and arrows. He was all about archery so it was the best mold she could find to fit it. The card that came with it said, Happy Valentine's Day, Rider. Thank you for helping me try new things. ~ Jae. And with that delivered, she could go give the last gift to another friend. Back in the Hydra dorms, she placed the bag of chocolate with golden dragons. They weren't actual gold or anything, but simply coloring and she left them for Ashton. She wasn't sure if he'd care for it or even eat it, but it was more about the gesture than anything else. Like the others, this one also had a card and it said, Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you can enjoy it with the one you love. ~ Jae. With all the chocolates delivered, she returned to her own room in time to gather what she needed to practice music. She suspected most of the building would be empty today as many people would go out to do things and have parties. She heard Ladon was throwing a party, but she had plans. Her plans involved spending time with Sara and Kana, watching movies together, and enjoying the sisterhood of foxes. |
