The Date
Who: Fred and Kristen When: Monday night (backdated) Where: The city Warning: Language, possibly mature content
To be completely honest, Fred had never been on a date before, so she had no idea if this was what people did on dates or not. She mainly figured she'd choose something she'd have fun doing and hopefully the shy girl would have fun too. Kristen was cute, but from what Haylie seemed to say, she was a little too vanilla. Fred hadn't let that put her off though. The girl was mostly nervous from what Fred could tell, and not just about being around her. If Kristen had a thing for her, she'd deal with that later. Right now she kind of wanted the girl to be a little less nervous all the damn time.
They had gone to a Breaking Benjamin concert, probably would be out way past curfew, but that was the good thing about not needing to sleep, it was harder to catch you when you were out past curfew since you wouldn't be yawning the next day. Besides, it was fun. The band played wonderfully and Fred at least had a good time. They weren't the best band in the world, but they were still pretty good.
She had a black shirt with the band name on it and a pair of cargo pants which carried a few non metallic knives (she didn't like to go anywhere without some sort of protection). Her hair was back in a ponytail, and really she didn't look as though she put much effort into the whole dressing up for the date thing. That was just how she was. They were heading back to where they had parked the car, her singing a little of the last song played, before she finally asked, "So what'd ya think?"
