Most of the time Victoria went into the woods, she went with Leon. They still sometimes when together but Victoria would go out on her own. Or she'd go into some town with James and hunt a different sort of animal. With Daniela gone, Victoria felt the need to be busy. Keep busy. To make it easier to deal with the absence of her sister. It wasn't like Daniela and her were really close again, but it had been nice to have her around. Even if Daniela spent most of that time mad at her. Now she felt like she had too much time on her hands. So she would help, this time willingly, with the Polar Bear Dive, she had James's campaign, and then there was Bayani. Perhaps some part of her invitation came in the form of needing a project. But Bayani was a vampire who shared some similarities. Language being the chief among them and it just felt nice to speak Spanish with someone who had it as his native tongue. It wasn't the same exact Spanish Victoria spoke but close enough. It was less precise, less practiced and formal. It made her feel a little more normal. English was a second language, not a first and she was sure it would always feel that way. She stood at the edge of the woods, waiting for Bayani to arrive. When she hunted in the woods she dressed differently than when she hunted in a club. There was a huge difference between the two, so knowing that she would end up with twigs in her hair and blood on her face at some point, she wore what was comfortable and she didn't mind possibly throwing away if it ended up too stained for its own good. A short-sleeved shirt, running shorts, and sneakers. She probably looked funny in the cold weather, but while she wasn't completely immune to the cold, she could wear something like this and not feel all that bothered by it. Victoria smelled Bayani before he arrived and stood straight from where she leaned against a tree. She smiled and waved, "¿Cómo te va, che? You ready to do a bit of hunting?" Most people, when they looked at Victoria, would think she was of a similar mind to James. That she wouldn't want to get dirty. But the one thing Victoria liked about this kind of hunting was that getting dirty didn't matter. It was all about the chase. |
