She was ecstatic to hear him agree, and it showed, but it was short lived. Unfortunately, he nudged her with his elbow. Her reaction was instant. She let out a panicked yelp, and scrambled away so quickly that she almost fell over for a second time that day. The DVD she was holding fell to the floor. When she looked back at him, she was shaking like a leaf.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she repeated, over and over again, hugging herself, unable to look him in the eye. "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" Her voice trembled, and her heart was racing as her eyes scanned his elbows for any visible signs of damage. The air turned cold.
