She would have patted him on the back, or offered him a hug, except that either action would render her into a panicked mess. "I'm guessing lucky rabbit's feet, four leaf clovers and horse shoes don't do anything to counter it. What about using a treadmill? That's gotta be safer, right? I know it's not the same, but indoors is usually safer, or that's what I grew up hearing." Abigail shrugged.
"Oh..." She tried not to sound disappointed at that, and failed. It confused her a little bit, because she obviously wanted him to be rid of his curse, but she also wanted him to stick around. That was even more confusing, because she couldn't make anything happen with a crush even if she tried, and he'd asked her to treat him like a friend. Abby cleared her throat, but continued looking away even as she spoke.
"That'll be nice, though, right? You'll get to go back to being normal and being around normal people. Unless your curse gets you turned into something else before they can get it off you. Not that I'm trying to give your curse any ideas, because that would be awful, so I'm sorry if that's a thing and you can probably blame me if anything like that does happen. But, um, fingers crossed?" And she held up her hands, both of which had the middle and index fingers crossed for luck.
