Mal wasn't in the library to do his homework or find something to read for the weekend. He was here to pick out dvds. Ever since Kat friendzoned him he'd been less inclined to leave his room. Only the blatantly big parties had gotten him out. Now she was gone to attend the funeral of a family member and he was feeling kind of dumb about the whole thing. Conflicting emotions sucked!
He hadn't been looking where he was going. Well, he had been, but that had included trying to figure out what row he was in. He'd taken a wrong turn somewhere...again...and was having a hard time finding his way to the check out desk. Mal's attention snapped back to where he was walking when someone almost bumped into him, an apology on his lips. It died when the girl did her best Chevy Chase impression.
"Holy crap!" he said as he looked down at her, then held out a hand while he juggled the small stack of dvds in his other arm. "Usually I'm the one doing the prat falls. You okay?"
