Thierry let out a laugh, "All right 'den, ami. We stick to English." To a native French speaker they might have been able to infer what Thierry was saying, but those that learned it as a second language probably wouldn't pick up on it easily or even at all. Thierry watched as James took the keys out of his pocket and laughed with a wave, "My girl get us 'dere just fine. Come on in. I'll even open 'de door for you." He moved around the truck to open the passenger side for James to get in.
"Promise she don't bite," Thierry said, "'dat what I do and I just had some food." He gave a joking wink along with it, patting the fabric seat that had a towel placed over it for now until he fixed the upholstery. It wasn't anything bad but there was a nice gash that was a little off-putting to most people unless they could accept Thierry's truck as is.
He moved around to the driver's side and climbed in on his own, the door shutting and then the car engine roaring quite loudly to life before settling into a low purr.
