Xavier had stayed longer than usual this time, but hadn't been around quite as much really. Sure Kana had been able to hang out with him for Christmas, and even gotten together with him a number of times since then too; however, he and their mother couldn't seem to spend five minutes around each other without getting into a fight. Kana had been trying to play referee with them, but in the end mostly had tried to just keep them apart. Despite her mother's age, when she got angry at someone she kind of went at them, and her brother had a great deal of suppressed anger towards her from years of abandonment.
Kana wore a burgandy wrap skirt that featured a tribal pattern around the bottom and the waist paired with a white poncho top. Despite all of the fights between her brother and their mother Kana had enjoyed the time they had spent together, and was really not looking forward to him leaving. If today was the last day though, she was going to make sure that they spent it having fun, and that was why she invited Jae along. She hadn't gotten to see her friend quite as much as she would have liked, but at the very least it was nice to spend her last day with her brother with someone who could help keep her from getting emotional.
The waiter brought them their drinks, hot chocolate for Xavier, and much to the waiter's surprise, cookies and cream milkshake for Kana. (The waiter had joked about Kana freezing which Xavier laughed a little too hard at)
"You do know you won't blend in very well if you keep stuff like that up, right?" Xavier grinned at her teasingly. His dress was nearly the opposite of Kana's glamorous look as he was wearing simply a T-shirt with Rey and Finn from the new Star Wars movie along with a pair of jeans. Really the only thing somewhat stylish about him were his glasses which had actually been picked out by Kana. Kana simply replied by sticking out her tongue at him and smiling.
This was a side of Kana that was mostly seen only by Xavier and her fox sisters. She was a bit more playful, and smiled more. She was at least getting a bit better with opening up to others, but this was a situation that she truly felt comfortable in. She even tried texting Sara earlier telling her she was invited, but wasn't sure she would come or not.
"What do you guys want to do after this?" Kana asked looking from Xavier to Jae.
Xavier shrugged. "Your town, not mine," he grinned as he sipped on the chocolate and looked to the attractive Korean. "You have any ideas?"
