"There was a coven," Andrei grunted. "Called themselves the Unbroken Circle. Meddled with the undead, raisin' them. An' then they tried their shit on a vampire, on one of my li'l brothers." This was old history, back in the sixties. "You know what happens when you try a little necromancy on livin' people? Nothin'. So we let them fight each other, tellin' 'em that the one who won got to leave. Well, she left, and got about thirty feet before we got her. When she died, all of her coven was dead."
"Now," Andrei said, softly, almost tenderly. He felt Leon move, felt his fingers move, and the vampire shifted. The hand on Leon's neck disappeared, grabbing that wrist, while Andrei used his weight to pin Leon against the wall. He put his knee up, letting it pressing against a sensitive area. "We'll have none of that, houdou man."
Andrei's fangs extended. "Now, as I was thinkin', you know I can't do much to you in school. But still, remember: if ya get me angry, I could lose that control. I wouldn't wanna kill you. I don't want your spirit on my case. But I know exactly which bones to snap so to make sure you ain't ever doin' magic no more. So next time you feel like sassin' me, don't. You got that?"
