Sorin caught Sidro's look and left it alone. He knew Ellie didn't mean to be angry at them, and especially not Sidro who was one of the most sensitive among them, so seeing that Sidro understood that too, he let it go. Sorin may not understand why Ellie didn't want to feel better, but he understood that each of them coped differently to their new environment.
He held Ellie securely against his side, reaching further to touch Sidro as well, include him in the huddle. Ellie began talking, despite saying she didn't want to talk about it, and Sorin listened as he pressed his cheek against her hair. Sorin couldn't help but be a little bit upset with Rider on Ellie's behalf. Sorin was always inclined to be a protector, especially of the teenagers from Anton. He was sure the elf meant no harm, ever, for Ellie, but maybe he could've handled it differently, maybe he could've said something different... Sorin shook his head. It wouldn't have changed how hurt Ellie was feeling right now, so he let those thoughts go.
"I am so sorry, soră. I know you liked him very much." Sorin had to stop himself from trying to make excuses for Rider's behavior or offer petty consolations. Truth be told, he didn't know what to say to her that would help, and his eyes sought out Sidro again. Sidro always knew something to say.
