Ashton wanted to tell her that even he didn't know any other dragons, not besides the ice dragon Yseult he'd met in Canada, but somehow he thought that wouldn't help his case any. She wanted him at her party. For what? The novelty? Daniela had been a mild annoyance for the dragon since her arrival, and she was persistent about it. He couldn't decide if he admired that or if it further irritated him. The chances of Ashton ever getting along with her on his own were nil, and normally most others - especially humans - knew better than to test his patience and would have withdrawn by now to write him off as a grumpy dragon. But for some reason, this witch still persisted.
The plea made him sigh and look away with mounting anger. One could not plead with a dragon!
