Daniela made a dismissive sound and flickered her wrist. Silently, she congratulated herself for her success. Ashton always looked as though he needed a hug, the sour puss that he was. In a way, he was like a cat. And even the proudest of cats enjoyed the occasional scratch. Maybe. Daniela had to admit she did not have that much experience with cats either but that analogy still worked. She was quite sure it did.

It was a blatant lie of course but Aston was so far removed from modern culture that Daniela was certain he could not see through her claim.
