Hydra's Haunted Hospital: Dana, Adina, and Leon
Adina knew Leon was right in saying certain people shouldn't go in. But she honestly didn't know how different it would be from last years. Last year didn't have several reminders of her ordeal with Vincent. This year...well thinking she was brave enough was foolish.
She'd be lying if Dana's comment about it being better if she went with Leon are Barclay didn't hurt a little. Sure she knew the girl was right. Last year she had gone with Barclay and she was fine. However the scares were more fun than frightening.
While Leon was being kind she didn't want to spend more time in his presence than necessary. However at that pleading look Dana shot her she couldn't say no. "Of course..."
With that Adina was left standing awkwardly by herself while her friend was comforted by a vampire...one who she knew wasn't very fond of her. One she had unknowingly tried to seduce. She tugged on the end of her braid as she glanced around not wanting to look at him. She was stunned when tears sprang to her eyes. Why was she crying. Sure she guessed part of it was that she wasn't able to comfort her friend, that a vampire caused the comfort that she could not. Also the haunted house brought up a lot of painful memories. And finally she guessed that she was still terrified and there was no one there who was holding and comforting her like Leon was comforting Dana. It wasn't fair.
She hugged her arms to herself and her eyes went to the ground trying the two to not see. One tear escaped her eye and landed on her hand. It sat there for a moment before her body absorbed it.
