Just Away from the Bonfire: Ellie & Rider
"Can you blame us?" Rider chuckled and placed a hand lightly in the small of her back to maneuver her closer to the bonfire again. "If you're hiding out, none of us get to enjoy you and your adorable accent."
In truth, he was glad she seemed amiable to sticking around the party. He knew that adjusting wasn't always easy for the small group of students who had escaped Anton Castle, and if she'd actually seemed anxious to get away, he'd have let her go. He'd likely have gone with, just to make sure she was totally okay. But she seemed willing to stay, which meant he could still enjoy the celebrations and her company.
"What would you like?" He reached out for her empty glass. Yeah, Rider was good at getting alcohol, but that didn't mean that everyone wanted it. He was mindful not to assume anything. "Soda? Cider? Or," he leaned in closer to her and his voice dropped to a lower volume. "Something that will keep you a little warmer?"
