Outside the Bonfire: Dana & Kaden
Kaden growled in his throat, his anger at finding the real culprits thwarted by Dana's lack of information. Angrily, he tossed the contents of her cup out on the ground and crushed the plastic cup in his hand.
Kaden opened his mouth give her the third degree of lectures when he saw her expression and just how much he was scaring her. Kaden lifted the crushed cup in his fist like he might throw it, and closed his eyes before letting out a slow breath. The fist lowered slowly. Dark eyes opened and Kaden seemed more collected, the bear receding more from the forefront of his mind.
"I know you don't need to drink." His voice was much calmer now, but there was still a tone of lecturing to it. The teacherly tone that came with practice at his job. "But the rules are the same for everyone. If you're caught with alcohol, it's an automatic detention." He gave Dana a stern look.
"I won't make you go back to the dorms, but remember this in the future. Don't accept drinks from people you don't know, whether you intend to drink it or not. Understand?"
