Bonfire: Ben and Sorin and Open
Sorin had been able to get Ellie to come out of the library and back to the main body of students, and he was pretty proud of her for it. He knew she, like most of the students from Anton castle, had all the reason in the world to want to curl up and hide on a night like this, especially with the theme of the haunted house being a true nightmare from their own lives. But after that, Sorin didn't pressure her to stay out. She'd made an effort, and that was enough.
After spending time with Ellie, Sorin went to find Dana, and the two of them had eventually found their way to the Ladon Bonfire. This was much more like it. A group of people having fun, a warm bright merry fire, and yes, drinks. Sorin was well under his normal body mass for a boy his age and height, which meant when he drank alcohol, it took no time at all to start to have an effect on him.
He spotted the robed guy with a book and had broken away from the group he was talking with and wandered over. "Who-- who reads a book at a party, really?" he asked with only a slight lilt to his speech that was heavily accented and slurred with Romanian - which had a similar pronunciation to the old school Dracula movies. "Is not this abnormal? Is practically one of the ways to gain attention, you think so?"
He grinned and plopped down on the ground beside Ben, their shoulders touching and Sorin leaning into him to see what he was reading. The cup in Sorin's hand had a strong mix of alcohol and he'd spilled some over the edge when he sat down. "Let's me see what is more interest-- interesting than than the party for to come here and only read in plain sight."
Sorin tugged on Ben's book to take it from him, practically reaching over his lap to take it away. Sorin's costume had at one point been something to resemble one of the gods Dana suggested he be. He still wore the jewelry from it, but the rest had gone missing and all he had left was his pants, the white shirt he'd worn underneath, and someone's hoodie over that. Whoever the hoodie belonged to was lost in the party that was going on and Sorin wouldn't remember who'd shown him the kindness of keeping him warm come morning.
