She might just shriek if someone actually managed to change the horses to pink. Maybe if it was an illusion, but Ellie was far more protective of animals and nature than people. There might just be vengeance planned.
She leaned against him, huddling under his arm. It was nice. Comforting. She didn't let a lot of people anywhere near this close. There were exceptions, folk she'd come to trust enough, but usually she shied away from being touched.
"Aye, I guess," she said quietly. Great. Now she had an ache in her chest. She was unfit for polite company tonight, apparently! She needed to stop this before she started blubbering. "Barring that, a new book would be nice. What about you?" She looked up at her hero in open curiosity.
