Digging her heels into the ground, Caitlin kept as still as possible. The heat of Ashton's breath would have made her quiver if she was human. Thankfully she was not right now. Afraid and fascinated, she continued to look at him. Words from a book she read long ago came to the forefront of her mind. Despite the numerous teeth and the deepness of his voice, she heard a French accent somewhere in that melting pot.
Lifting her chin, the fangling kept telling herself that the dragon was like a obstinate cat. But his silver eyes and his snort that nearly made her backpedal momentarily jarred her thoughts. Then she blinked at the 'vampire' bit.
Caitlin waited until Ashton turned away before she cleared her thought. "I will not 'begone'. I was here first. And I doubt you ever have eaten a vampire." With that she sat back down on the bench and crossed her legs politely.
