That stare...that blank stare. How was it that all girls could do that...they just are born knowing how to do that. You can never tell what they are thinking...and they wonder why men are always so confused. What is worse when you ask if something is wrong and they say they are fine in a voice that doesn't say fine or do that neutral thing...it drove him nuts. But this was not his time to grip over the confusing creature that is female.
Dallas's expression softened as he heard her words. Her nonchalant tone not fooling him. He has a sister...he knows that if he had been in her shoes he would be the same.
