Davian Rivera, reporting for dancing
Davian wanted the best role this time. Sure, he probably wouldn't memorize his lines and he probably would shirk the rehearsals so that he could sleep. But he was determined to get the good part. Thanks to Ambriel and Ms. Edouard having faith in him, even Ms. Hallowfen and Ms. Menides giving him praise on his progress, his confidence had taken a huge step in recovering from its downtrodden defensive state.
He arrived at the audition - not in a dress this time - with a grin on his face. He had a skit prepared, one that was actually just him telling a story that turned out to be a joke, and he was animated and let his voice carry over the theater.
Then he'd pointed at the person sitting by the piano. "Hit it," he'd instructed, and then as the music started playing, he'd performed a short dance that highlighted his obvious skill in that particular art form. During the song, Davian began singing. He wasn't a brilliant vocalist, but he could carry a tune, even while not missing a step in his dance.
Davian's tail was as much a prop as it was a way for him to have better balance, and as he bowed, the tail gave a wave at the "audience" before he left the stage.
