Auditions for the Winter Musical
Who: Thérèse and Open to all (multiple threads) Where: Academy Theater When: Monday (forward dated) Ratings: PG until further notice
The auditorium was in the process of having sets built for the production. The main stage was left open for the auditions as well as for the actual play practice beginning in a week. The fairy teacher sat a few rows back from the stage with her notes on each of the students who were auditioning. Some would choose to sing, others would choose to speak, and some would dance. It mainly depended on what part they were auditioning for what they would do. Thérèse would give them some notes as well as compliment them on things she felt they did well on. After that they were permitted to either leave or sit and watch.
Off to the side students were talking with each other while watching their competition or friends on stage. If they ever got too loud Mrs. Gurule would ask that they be quieter if they wished to stay, but for the most part she had no problem with this.
On the side of the stage students would stand in wait for their turn. Some would talk with the stage crew, others would rehearse quietly what they were planning on performing. When they came in they signed a sheet which has since been taken by Mrs. Gurule so that she could have them in a specific order.
