Thread: In the Flesh WHO: Kana & Ashton WHEN: Sept 9, evening WHERE: Under the castle
Ashton was not sure what to think when he saw a message pop up on the network from Kana. It talked like her, spoke of things Kana would know, and when Ashton had finally sent a message of his own, she had told him to meet her in their spot. "Their spot" was something only the two of them ever spoke of. It was a long time ago, the training they did under the castle where their fire wouldn't be seen and wouldn't cause any damage. He hadn't even told Barclay about those sessions, convinced that he could do it himself and control the gold lust before he ever put Barclay at risk.
Things had not gone as planned, and they never did, but it was still his and Kana's spot.
After her passing, he'd gone down there and it was where he had mourned her. He didn't know how to accept that she was back - or that she hadn't ever actually been gone. Ashton did not like being tricked.
So he went to their spot. Partly it was to test her to see if she remembered, if she was really who she said she was. Another part was so he could see for himself, smell for himself. Use all of his dragon senses to determine if this was really his friend and fellow fire user who had come back into everyone's life.
He waited in the darkness, lurking like a shadow and having grown some since she had last seen him in his true form. Long spear length talons dug into the worn stone beneath him and the unhappy rumble that came from his chest lit the flames in his throat, glowing in the darkness through his ebony scales.
