There was the slightest of creaks indicating a hinge in need of some oil as Osreor pushed open the door to the empty suite. It was just after four o'clock, the end of his shift, and it had been a busy day. Business at the Crossings, the stately manor-turned-hotel, had been picking up again of late, not that business was ever slow this time of year. But with school just around the corner, the hotel was nearly full, either with families taking a last minute trip before school started again, or families of the students of St. Margaret's coming into town to drop their children off for the year, some for the first time. Osreor was kept busy cleaning up rooms after check out, re-stocking supplies, and being a concierge when called on to be, which was happening especially with the St. M's families, who'd been told by the front desk that some students from the school worked there. Osreor liked the work, he didn't mind keeping busy. What he did mind was the inevitable feeling of dirtiness once he was all done for the day.
Os had long ago gotten into the habit of ducking into an empty suite at the end of shift and cleaning up before heading out, and today was no exception. The incubus set his duffel bag down on the perfectly-made queen-size bed, pulling out his toiletries and taking them with him into the bathroom. Glancing at himself in the mirror, he looked fine. His uniform looked spotlesss, he looked immaculate, not a single wavy brown hair out of place. But Osreor could feel the hint of sweat on his body and he was more than a little compulsive when it came to self-care, not that he let others see that aspect of himself. The demon undressed, leaving his work clothes in a neat pile on the floor. He glanced in the mirror again. He had an advantage being a demon, as his glamoured human form really didn't need much upkeep, being naturally tanned and toned, but he was nonetheless meticulous in his grooming, his hair styled just right, his body hair trimmed or waxed, his nails filed to perfection. The need to be immaculate was hardwired in him, being an incubus, needing every advantage to tempt others to him. The tempting was something he rarely did anymore, at least not consciously, but old habits died hard. After a few moments, Osreor broke eye contact with his mirror self and turned toward the shower.
He turned the shower on, giving the water a couple of moments to heat, then stepped under the stream. He ducked his head under it, his hair flattening out against his head, his short black horns suddenly noticible, and prominent, now. Osreor washed thoroughly, taking his time, enjoying the feel of the hot water spraying on his skin. His thoughts drifted to some of the more memorable aspects of the day. An incoming standard at St. M's who he'd met, a perky young thing who he'd sensed had a desire for intellectuals. A couple of sporty-looking lads, talking sports in the foyer, giving off vibes of being indescriminately lusty. A mother who'd smiled at him from down the hall a few moments too long and whose thoughts he could gather without the aid of his incubus talents. Thought his thoughts of these fleeting moments were ripe with possibility, Osreor didn't dwell on them for too long. He finished his shower and shut off the water, drying himself some before stepping out of the tub and moving back in front of the sink, towel in hand. Os patted his legs a little more dry, then his groin and stomach and chest. His damp hair was still plastered to his head, his horns, for the moment, still apparent. The demon took his towel and wiped the steam from the mirror, getting another look at himself and also the bedroom of the suite behind him.
