Who: Fred and Caitlin(NPC) When: August 4th early afternoon Where: Hydra Dorm Rating: E for emotional
Fred had had an uneventful and pretty boring summer, but all the same it was not bad. She swam a bit, enjoyed the lack of people around and especially the fact that she didn't have to try to hide anything about herself. True she didn't necessarily have to hide things about herself from most of the people at St. Margaret's she still felt like she needed to. She didn't want to get emotionally attached again and have another screw up happen like when she was turned, and she had been having those annoying feelings ever since arriving here. She seemed to be able to control herself around the professor well enough; however, the crush she had on the damn wood nymph seemed to come out of nowhere other than a possible need to feel close to someone that wasn't Caitlin. She had been working to harden her emotions for the new semester, and so far she felt she was doing a good job about it. Sure she still could think that Dana and the professor were hot, but she was not going to feel anything more than that. That was her vow. She needed to enhance her skills and finish her studies on creatures so that she could become the best huntress there ever was. She would continue with her family's ways of only seeking those who are doing wrong, but she would still learn everything there was to know about all of the creatures; after all, with what she had come to find out about demons she didn't want to screw up like that again just because she's not informed properly.
Currently she was lounging on her bed in a bikini top and a pair of shorts with her guitar in hand strumming along randomly as she sought to give music to some lyrics she had worked on earlier in the summer. That was when the phone next to her bed began to buzz. She glanced over to see that the number wasn't from anyone stored on it, but since not many really had her number she figured it was possibly someone letting her know their new number. She picked the phone up and hit the green button to answer it, "Sup?"
"Hey Fred," a voice she had not heard in almost a year replied to her. The vampire's eyes widened as though she had just heard the voice of a dead person on the other line, and truly that was not far from the case.
"Caitlin?"
"Yeah," the girl on the other end replied, "It took me a while to get your number, but Co... a friend managed to track you down though."
"What do you want," Fred asked, her voice hardening now as she tried to force her emotions to turn only to anger.
"I wanted to see how you are," Caitlin answered, "I miss you."
Fred's grip on the phone tightened as she fought to hold herself together. She knew that getting upset and smashing the phone wouldn't help, and she also knew allowing this girl to know that there was still a place in Fred's heart for her would really not help. "I'm fine," she replied, "Except I have this little issue going outside during the day now."
There was silence over the phone for a moment before the girl attempted to continue, "Are you still playing your guitar?"
"Cait seriously," she shot back over the phone, "Why the hell are you calling me?"
"I..." she attempted to say something, but it was lost quickly, "Never mind. I'm sorry I bothered you." The phone call disconnected and Fred threw it against the wall where it smashed to a thousand pieces. She hated this feeling. This was one of those feelings she had been trying to get rid of. Her guitar was wet now too. Why the hell was it wet? She put a finger to her cheek and realized what had happened. That stupid bitch. Why did she have to call? How did she get this number even?
Winifred curled over onto the bed and closed her eyes where an image of the girl she had just spoken to seemed to be imprinted on her eyelids. She was such an idiot. What was wrong with her?
