"So, Harry Potter, I take it, is the main guy. And they're at a school like ours, but with animals that bring their mail. And they learn how to be witches and wizards?" Leon gave a review of what he'd learned thus far as they walked together. "Sounds like maybe JK Rowling is a witch, right? I mean, to come up with this stuff. Not that, you know, witches haven't been around for forever. But still." He shrugged and glanced at Teddy, noticing the hearing aids again, standing this close to him, and he frowned slightly.
"Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but if you want me to speak up or anything, I can do that. I mean, because of your..." Leon waved in the general direction of his own ear. "What happened, anyway? Were you born like that?" Curious, because Leon came from a place that didn't have or use those kinds of high tech enhancement aids, he really didn't know much about them. Teddy clearly wasn't completely deaf, so they seemed to help him out. Then it occurred to the Voodooist why he'd been moving his hands so much. It wasn't for a spell at all, but to communicate, "Oh! Sweet Freda, that's why you were doing this," he demonstrated by moving his own hands, then chuckled, "I thought you were casting a spell, not gonna lie. Sorry, I'm an idiot."
